Re-Roofing Timeframe and What to Consider

When it comes time to re-roof a home or commercial propertythere are some common questions that come from home owners. Below we have included some handy tips and facts that can save you time wondering.

ROOF SIZING

The average roof size can vary anywhere between 100m2 and 800m2 for residential homes.

TIME FRAME

The re-roofing process can take anywhere between two days to two weeks. As well as removing and installing the actual roof, this procedure includes:

  • Installing and dismantling edge protection
  • Removal and installation of hot water, solar and aerials
  • Upgrading roof structures to code where required
  • Obtaining BA and engineering reports

WHAT CAN AFFECT THE TIME FRAME?

Weather is the biggest factor that can affect the time in which it takes for a re-roofing project to be completed.

DID YOU KNOW?

Living in Australia, there is also an interesting amount of wildlife found in roof spaces! Our burly, grown men have known to let out a little scream as they have come across a snake, spider or possum! We always make sure to leave these little guys alone as much as possible and will only move them if they are in danger of being injured.
